8 Products Every Lash Artist Needs in Their Kit

Every great artist needs their paintbrush and easel. For us lash artists, it’s adhesive and a good pair of tweezers!

Some may say that a lash tech is only as good as their tools – and there is truth in that saying! Investing in high-quality products makes lashing a much easier, more enjoyable experience. Not only that, but it can also improve lash retention and the look of your sets.

If you’re a new lash artist looking to build out your toolkit, these products are here to save the day! Here are our top 8 products that every lash artist needs in their kit:

1) Lash Cleanser

You always want to start with a fresh canvas. For that, you’ll need Rub-A-Dub Lash Cleanser. This foaming cleanser is gentle on the eyes and works wonders for removing oil and debris from the lashes. Pair with a fluffy cleansing brush for the best results!

Another great thing about this product is you can sell it to clients at the end of their appointment as part of their aftercare instructions. Cleansing the lashes daily is one of the best tips for making lash extensions last longer, so it’s a win-win for everyone!

2) Rinse Bottle

As simple as it may be, a rinse bottle is a must for lashing. These squeeze bottles help effectively rinse your client’s lashes without getting water everywhere, making them especially handy during preps or removals. Our rinse bottle comes in a sleek black finish with a skinny curved nozzle for easy control.

3) Mascara Wands

The next thing every lash artist needs in their kit are mascara wands – and lots of ‘em! Mascara wands are used to fluff up the lashes and are great to give to clients at the end of their appointment. As one review said, “ My clients love the colors of these brushes and are always excited to see what color they are going to get! Seems simple but clients love the extra stuff.” Who doesn’t love a small dose of happiness?

4) Handheld Fan

The next product you’ll need for your kit is a high-quality handheld fan. These are used during the set to dry the adhesive and blow away pesky fumes. Our lightweight fan has a silent design, three speed options, and a USB charger, making it the perfect lashing sidekick.

5) Tape

Tape is something you’ll use for every set, which is why it’s important to find the right one. You want something that’s gentle enough for the eyes, but effective in holding down the lashes. At the same time, it has to be flexible and thin, so it’s easy to maneuver and doesn’t irritate your clients. Our paper tape is the perfect balance between comfortable and effective, and we also offer blue tape for extra sensitive eyes.

6) Tweezers

Finding the right pair of tweezers is like finding the perfect pair of jeans. Once you find them, you’ll never want to let them go! Let us introduce you to your new tweezer wardrobe. The first pair we can’t live without is the straight tweezer. This tool is excellent for removals, but we recommend having an additional pair for classic sets. For volume lashes, you’ll need a boot or hook with great grip. Our top picks are the Cloud Boot and the Amber Curved. Both offer perfect precision and are too cute! If you are a handmade fan lover, another tool you’ll need is a tweezer that’s great for pinching. The best for this is Off Da Hook because it’s precise, can handle large amounts of lashes with ease, and has a comfortable grip. Lastly, this Tweezer Saver Bracelet is a life-saver for times when you accidentally drop your favorite pair – no more dented tools!

7) Happy Tile

Another must-have for your lash kit is a tool that keeps everything at your fingertips. That’s where Happy Tile comes in! This large acrylic palette keeps your workstation organized and clean from dust and debris. Keep all your lashes and glue in this spacious tray and cover it when not in use. The best part, there are grips on the back that prevent slipping!

8) Nebulizer

You’ve probably heard of the nano-mister for lashes. Well, let me introduce you to something better: the nebulizer! Both of these products are meant to quickly and effectively cure the adhesive. As adhesive dries naturally, it forms a hard shell on the outside, leaving the adhesive flexible on the inside. The ultra-fine mist from the nebulizer cures the adhesive immediately, from the outside in.

The biggest difference between the nano mister and nebulizer is the misting. With the nebulizer, the mist is ultra-fine, meaning you don’t have to worry about accidentally soaking your client’s lashes. The nebulizer also uses tap water rather than distilled water in the nano mister! Just remember to always empty it at the end of your day and clean it frequently to prevent mildew.
